Common questions
- The sound stops when I lock my phone. Check that iOS hasn't restricted background activity for the app in Settings.
- It paused on its own. The app deliberately pauses when headphones are unplugged, so it never suddenly plays out loud.
- Can I use it with a sleep timer? Yes — use the iOS Clock app's timer and set "When Timer Ends" to "Stop Playing".
- Does it work offline? Always. The app has no network code at all.
Privacy Policy
Brown Noise Player does not collect any data whatsoever.
- No accounts, no sign-in, no email capture.
- No analytics, telemetry, crash reporting or advertising SDKs.
- No network requests of any kind — the app contains no networking code.
- Your chosen sound and volume are stored only on your own device.
Because nothing leaves your device, there is nothing for us to store, share, sell or disclose. This applies to everyone, including children under 13.
If this policy ever changes, it will be updated on this page before the change ships in an app update.
